Continuing their family's legacy for 80 years the Karavitakis Winery has created a boutique winery in Pontikiana Village in Chania, Crete. Their estate consists of 150 acres of vineyards both private and contracted housing a wide variety of local and international grapes. The winery features 2 wine tasting areas and a small church nestled between beautiful vineyards and olive groves on the hilltops of Kolimbari area, just 30 minutes out of Chania.

Their history begins in 1986, when the vine grower/wine producer Andreas Dourakis returned from Thessaloniki to a place he calls home: a mountainous village near Krapi of Sfakia on the uniquely beautiful island of Crete, Alikambos. The area has one of the lowest rainfalls in Greece, thus making the soil rich in active materials ideal for the cultivation of the vineyards. Pnevmatikaki Winery

Pnevmatikakis Winery is an exclusively family matter/affair. The great grandfather of the family founded the first wine production unit of the family, in the village Potamida Kisamos, from which the family originates. Pnevmatikakis winery emphasizes on the cultivation and promotion of the local varieties in an area of 30 acres. Enjoy truly local wine and spectacular views upon your visit.
